ADSS cable suspension points need attention
(1) During the erection of ADSS optical cables, attention must be paid to safety issues, among which the safety of personnel is the most important, and various safety rules and regulations must be observed during construction.
⑵ About hardware
The fittings required for installing ADSS optical cables include tensile fittings for tension towers, suspension fittings for suspension, anti-vibration whips, grounding wires and down-conducting fixtures, etc.
construction sequence
First determine the tower number that each cable passes through, especially the tower number of the starting tower and the ending tower, and lay out traction ropes and pulleys on each tower, then place the tractor at the starting tower, and place the tractor at the ending tower. Place the cable reel and tensioner. At the overhang point in the middle of the span, the diameter of the pulley shall not be less than 12 inches, and the pulley used at the beginning and end of the line shall not be Less than 20 inches or 40 times the cable diameter. Elastic rubber should be used as a buffer material in the groove of the pulley to reduce the wear of the outer sheath of the optical cable. The incoming and outgoing angle of the optical cable should be less than 30°, the tension of the optical cable should be less than 1 ton, the speed of laying the cable should be 3-8 kilometers per hour, and the optical cable and the traction rope should be connected by a rotating compensation Protects the cable from tangential stress due to twisting during deployment. After the optical cable is pulled to the end tower, adjust the tension and sag of each tension section section by section (the adjustment of tension and sag should start from one end of the entire line until the other end of the line ends, and the direction of adjustment should be opposite to the direction of installing the optical cable. , to ensure the maximum use of the optical cable), then install the hardware, pull the optical cable down from the tower, straighten it, install the lead-down fixture, and finally reel the remaining cable for connection. In the process of laying out the cable, it must be noted that the optical cable should not be scratched with the tower body. If the outer skin of the optical cable is found to be scratched, the construction should be stopped immediately, and the problem should be solved before continuing.
Continued construction
Due to the particularity of ADSS optical cable, it cannot be connected arbitrarily like ordinary optical cable, and its connection must be carried out on the tension tower or suspension tower of the transmission line, and cannot be connected in the middle of the line. Generally speaking, the connection is done on the ground. During the welding operation, it is generally necessary to weld the vehicle and have enough spare cables. Usually, the length of the spare cables should be able to lead down from the tower and extend to the welding operation point. Note: About 15 meters of fiber optic cable from the drop-off fixture should be cut off, so as not to use the fiber optic cable damaged by extrusion in the system. When welding, an OTDR is used to monitor the continuous work in real time to ensure the quality of welding. The attenuation of the fusion point should meet the design requirements (generally less than 0.05 dB).
