The single-disk inspection work includes: checking, inventorying, visual inspection and measuring the main characteristics of optoelectronics on the specifications and quantities of optical cables and connecting equipment delivered to the site. Through inspection to confirm whether the quantity and quality of optical cables and equipment meet the relevant requirements specified in the design documents or contracts.
The optical cable coil test works as follows:
1. Optical cable equipment inspection, factory test records, and inspection of optical cable specifications, quantity and appearance.
2. Preparation of construction tools, machinery, instruments and vehicles. Construction tools and machinery are determined according to the type of construction.
3. Prepare for construction technology management. Familiar with engineering design, learn the relevant content of construction acceptance procedures, prepare test forms for the completion of technical data records, and formulate construction quality assurance measures.
4. On-site inspection of the optical cable, the attenuation constant of the optical fiber and the length of the optical fiber should be tested, and the presence or absence of cracks and non-uniformity along the length direction should be carefully checked. Generally, an optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) is used for inspection. If there is no such instrument, a light source and an optical power meter can be used for simple testing. The test results should be consistent with the data provided by the manufacturer.
5. The electrical indicators of copper wires used for business communication and remote supply in optical cables should comply with the provisions of the national electrical indicators of communication cables.
6. After the single-reel inspection is completed, the optical cable end sealing and cable reel packaging should be restored, and a unified number should be placed on the reel, indicating the outer end mark and the length of the optical cable.
After the inspection, the optical cables are arranged separately according to the categories. The ones with short sections should be arranged and collected on one side of the same type of optical cable reel. At present, the nominal length of the optical cable of various manufacturers is not exactly the same as the actual length. Some are long enough to mark the cable length according to the conversion factor, and some are marked with the length mark on the cable or the length of the digital tape in the cable. The length of the optical fiber is the cable length (and then the OTDR is marked in the brackets). Some manufacturers require a positive deviation of several meters to 50m, and some may have a negative deviation. In order to arrange the reels according to the correct length, to ensure the safe laying of the optical cables and not to waste the optical cables, it is necessary to re-measure the length of the optical cables in the single-reel inspection.
